Nordic PGDay 2026 will be held at the Scandic Park Helsinki in Helsinki, Finland.

Visitors from out of town can of course stay at the conference hotel to minimize the morning commute. There are also numerous other alternatives within easy walking distance.

Public transit

You need a ticket that covers zones ABC when traveling to/from the airport, or a ticket covering zone AB when traveling locally between the hotel and the center city.

To buy a ticket, there are a few options. You can buy single adult tickets directly with a debit/credit card or Google/Apple Pay with contactless payment when you enter the train. If at the airport, look for a blue machine near the doors.

Another option is to install the "HSL - tickets & route planner" app beforehand, and buy the ticket within the app before boarding the train. The price for the ABC ticket is €4.80.

The ticket is valid for transfer on the local buses and trams for 80 (AB) or 90 (ABC) minutes.

Getting to and from the airport

By public transport (45-55 mins)

To get to the hotel from the Helsinki Airport, train is the easiest option. Upon arrival, follow the signs for the train station, and take the I or P train to the Central Railway Station. The train lines form a loop such that any train leaving from the airport, in either direction, will get you there.

From the Central Railway Station, the Scandic Park hotel is about 1 km by foot, or you can take a bus or a tram. Buses numbered 200, 300, 345 leave from the railway station, trams 4 and 10 from Mannerheimintie. Use the local journey planner or e.g. Google Maps for schedules.

Taxi, Uber (25-30 mins)

Follow the signs for taxis. As you exit the terminal building, there are different lanes for different taxi companies. Prices vary between companies, around €40 - €50. Prices are displayed at the taxi station.

Uber, Bolt, and other pre-booked pickups are from the P2 parking hall. Follow the signage at the terminal and the instructions in the app.
